In a surprising collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.

The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
